Quick Recalls

The purpose for doing a lot of repetitions really quick is so that you can get in a lot of recalls in a short amount of time. The more one practices something the better they get at it. So, if a dog learns to come when called even if it is at a short distance away then they are building muscle memory for that behavior and you are conditioning a strong recall. Of course, I would also suggest to do recalls from further away, but if you are short on time or in a new environment and want to get your dogs attention right away and get him into and motivated to work with you, do 10-20 short quick recalls, then get to working on other things. 🙂

This is just one episode in my “Play-N-Train Recalls” DVD. There are over 20 episodes on the DVD to help anyone build and train a SOLID recall. It has games, proofing ideas, how to train an emergency recall, formal obedience recalls, and ALL OF IT IS DONE WITHOUT ANY PUNISHMENT! You will learn how to train your dog to do obedience type behaviors without having to use force, corrections, intimidation, and any form of verbal or physical punishment. It is ALL POSITIVE and CLICKER based training.

The DVD is $25 and is ONLY sold on my website http://www.pamsdogtraining.com

I also have a Loose Leash Walking DVD available that have over 35 episodes for training a dog to heel, loose leash walk, adding distractions, proofing, CGC episodes, and much much more. This Loose Leash Walking made EASY DVD is a 2 disc set and is $40 on my website http://www.pamsdogtraining.com
